Why do distributors reject metadata?
The usual causes are "feat." or producer credits inside the title, all-caps titles, stage names where legal names are required, and artist names spelled differently from your existing profile.
Do I need an ISRC?
Every track needs one, but you don't have to buy it. Leave the field blank and nearly every distributor assigns one for free when you upload.
What's the ℗ line?
The ℗ (sound recording) and © (composition) lines name the year and the owner. If you own your masters, it's simply the year and your name or label.
